Read a Book That Glorifies Jesus

Tyler and Kristen sat on this very bench in Frankfort, Michigan, discussing their future. Or lack of it. High school was more than two years in the past for both of them. Kristen was anxious to move on with her life. She would like very much to marry Tyler, if the truth were known.

But Tyler is distracted. By his past. He was left in a stranger's car in Frankfort when he was not yet three years old. The couple to whom the car belonged adopted him and raised him, but now as a young adult he wants to know the truth about who left him in the car, and why.

Kristen's father, Officer Chuck Hanson, was a rookie policeman on the Frankfort police force when Tyler was found in the car in a parking lot on Main Street. In fact, he was the first officer on the scene. For twenty years he has tried to keep the case alive and to solve it, but to no avail.

Tyler's parents, Frank and Marian Williams, are not happy about Tyler's quest for the past. They want him to get on with his life, to marry Kristen, and to find what God wants him to do with his life. And to make them grandparents. But Tyler is determined to find the truth.

Meanwhile, a young woman named Ellen has secured a position assisting an older woman, Gloria, in running Gloria's Place, a half circle of run-down cabins in the northern Great Lakes wilderness. Who is this Ellen? Where did she come from? And what secrets might she be hiding and hiding from?

As the story unfolds, you will discover how God often works to uncover the secrets that bind people to a failed past. "Beware your sins will find you out" the Bible says. But there is real freedom from the past for those who put their faith in Jesus Christ.

THE MISSING PERSON is the first novel from Thomas M. Parsons, and is available from Amazon.

COME, LORD JESUS

The last book of the Bible is a challenging book to say the least. This book is the product of more than thirty years of studying, preaching and teaching the book of Revelation. The author takes the book chapter by chapter, but focuses the study on the main theme of the book, which is Jesus Christ

JOY COMES IN THE MOURNING

This book was written by Barbara J. Forsyth, a retired school teacher who lives with her husband in Ontario, California. Barbara has put together a collection of poems, articles and stories, written by herself and others, to address the challenges that face a person when he or she is going through a time of grief. I had the privilege of serving as the editor of the book, and even contributed some material.

THE MISSING PERSON

JOY COMES IN THE MOURNING

I was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, to parents who both traced their ancestry back for several generations through Canada. My family and I lived in Windsor until I was ten years old, in 1951. That was the year we crossed the Detroit River and lived in a new house on a new street in Lincoln Park, Michigan,

During those ten Windsor years, my family faced several serious challenges. My older brother served on a destroyer in the South Pacific during World War II. One of my sisters suffered a serious illness that left her with a life-long disability. There was a death in the family, a death from which my parents never fully recovered. There was a tornado that came close to wiping us out along with our house.

But through all these things, God was slowly revealing Himself to the little boy I was at the time, culminating in a Vacation Bible School I attended at Windosr's Tabernacle Baptist Church (now Ambassador Baptist Church).

WINDSOR'S CHILD is an autobiographical account of the author's life as a young boy in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and is available from Amazon.
